PMA member, Dr Ainsleigh Laumatia will be one of the speakers for the webinar and is lookingforward to sharing about her experiences to date with her training in Public Health Medicine.
“I’m still in the training programme so I’ll be sharing a little bit about the practical side of Public Health training and also why it is a great pathway if you’re especially interested in pacific health equity.”
As a young doctor, Dr Laumatia encourages PMA members and aspiring health professionals to attend the webinar.
“What we know of Public Health is because it has been in the spotlight as Covid focused. There’s so much more to Public Health and this is a great opportunity for people to listen in and learn further about what it is outside of Covid.”
She is excited by the prospect of engaging in the conversation alongside Dr Josephine Aumea Herman and Dr Siniva Sinclair, who are renowned leaders in the field of Public Health.
“I’m really looking forward to hearing about Dr Aumea and Dr Siniva’s journey in Public Health and the insights they have to offer.
I’m still quite young in the Public Health space so it’s going to be awesome hearing about the work they have done and what they think the future of Public Health and Pacific Health will look like.”
