
Programme Manager - NZ Medical Treatment Scheme (MTS)
The Programme Manager for the New Zealand Medical Treatment Scheme (NZMTS) is responsible for the strategic planning, operational delivery, and continuous improvement of the NZMTS programme. This role ensures the programme meets its objectives in improving health outcomes for Pacific people through equitable access to overseas medical treatment, in-country specialist care, and health system strengthening. The Programme Manager oversees all three components of NZMTS: the Overseas Referral Scheme (ORS), Visiting Medical Teams (VMT), and Strengthening In-country Capacity (SCC), and works closely with country partners, clinical teams, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT) to deliver high-impact, culturally grounded services.
