Registration is open for the Pasifika Whānau Ora and Aniva Pacific Health Workforce National Conference 2015 “Pacific Wellbeing: Co-creating our future”, which takes place on the 25th and 26th of November 2015 at the James Cook Hotel Grand Chancellor, Wellington.
This conference brings together Pacific communities and the Pacific health workforce to improve outcomes for Pasifika families and communities now and in the future. It is also an opportunity for Pacific providers and partners of Whānau Ora to share ideas, knowledge and experience gained from the first year of Whānau Ora commissioning.
The 2nd annual conference marks the establishment of Pasifika Futures as a commissioning agency for Pacific communities, and acknowledges the work done so far of Whānau Ora servicing Pacific families and communities throughout New Zealand.
Debbie Soresen, Pasifika Futures’ chief executive sees the conference as an opportunity to bring together the learnings from a wide variety of stakeholders involved in delivering Whānau Ora services. “It signals our ongoing commitment to work alongside Pacific families to understand their needs, and the commitment to work collaboratively with our Whānau Ora Partners and Providers.”
We would like to mark our two year anniversary by acknowledging the commitment and determination of everyone involved in the Whānau Ora programme to transform the lives of our Pasifika families for a better future, and the significant role that providers and our Whānau Ora navigators have in working with our Pacific communities.
