Pasifika Medical Association CEO, Debbie Sorensen has been named a finalist in the Business Executive Award category in this year’s national Pacific Business Trust awards.

Winners will be announced at Auckland’s iconic Langham Hotel on Friday 28 October.

The awards set out to acknowledge the efforts of Pacific business leaders both new and veteran, and reward those who made notable difference in the business sector in New Zealand.

Mrs Sorensen says, it’s a real privilege to be a finalist in the Pacific Business Trust national awards amongst such an accomplished line-up of finalists.

“I look forward to a great night celebrating with colleagues, friends and families and Pacific individuals from across the many business sectors that contribute to making New Zealand our home.”

The Pacific Business Trust Awards started in 1993 and this year’s awards highlight the incredible journey of the Trust during their 30 years of operation.

The awards celebrate winners across eight categories, comprising; Pacific Business Executive Award, Pacific Entrepreneur Award, Pacific Business Woman Award, Pacific Social Enterprise Award, Pacific Innovation Award, Pacific Business Enterprise Award, Pacific Employer Award and Pacific Exporter Award.
