0001The Pasifika Medical Association tonight launches its 20 year history book, “The Pasifika Medical Association Journey – 20 Years of Successful Navigation 1996–2016”, as part of the 20th anniversary conference.

The launch will give you the opportunity to hear the amazing stories of those who have started the Pasifika Medical Association and the contribution they have made to improve the health of Pacific people in the Pacific region.

The book features 15 reflections from key PMA members, Dr Joe Williams, Dr Kiki Maoate, Dr Mary English, Dr Siro Fuata’i, Dr Colin Tukuitonga, Dr Alec Ekeroma, Dr Suitafa Debbie Ryan, Dr Api Talemaitonga, Dr Andrew Chan Mow, Dr Teuila Percival, Dr Ate Moala, Mrs Eseta Finau, Dr Siniva Sinclair, Dr Staverton Kautoke, current CEO of Pasifika Medical Association Mrs Debbie Sorensen as well as the former principal of Otahuhu College Gil Laurenson and Hon Bill English Deputy Prime Minister NZ.

This event will commence at 6.30pm at the Auckland War Memorial Museum, Grand Foyer.

The book will be officially launched by the Minister for Pacific Peoples, Hon Peseta Sam Lotu-Iiga in a ceremony to welcome all participants of the conference at the Auckland War Memorial Museum.
