Held as a hybrid event with both in-person attendees and a virtual audience, the webinar brought together a community of health professionals, students, and allies committed to improving health outcomes for Pacific peoples. Dr Ryan, a founding member of the PMA, has dedicated decades to championing Pacific health equity in Aotearoa New Zealand.  

Her leadership and advocacy have shaped key national policies, informed culturally responsive healthcare practices, and paved the way for emerging Pacific health professionals. 

During the session, Dr Ryan shared her personal and professional journey, one marked by a deep commitment to service.
